Delivering world-class mission ready and expertise driven training to implement explosive risk mitigation and global safety

About us
The Global Explosive Risk Mitigation Academy (GERMA) is a Kenyan-registered Public Benefit Organisation providing specialised training and technical expertise in explosive risk mitigation. GERMA has established a formal engagement relationship with the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS) in Embakasi and the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) in Karen, supported through a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement and ongoing cooperation discussions. GERMA delivers programmes in humanitarian mine action, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), improvised explosive device disposal (IEDD), and first responder capability.
GERMA combines international best practices with national capability development to deliver accredited training and operational support to humanitarian, civilian, military, and police sectors, helping governments and institutions strengthen response capability and enhance public safety.
GERMA is being developed as a regional centre of excellence for explosive risk mitigation and humanitarian mine action across Africa, offering advisory services, standards development, research and innovation alongside training and institutional capacity development for governments, donors, UN agencies, AU institutions, NGOs and technology partners.
