Purpose
This course develops the knowledge and practical awareness required to support the safe, accountable and secure management of ammunition storage facilities, depot controls, safety systems and operational procedures.

This course is suitable for ammunition storekeepers, depot staff, armoury personnel, logistics personnel, security personnel, supervisors, ammunition management staff, police, border security and government personnel involved in the management, security or supervision of ammunition and explosive stores.
What is covered
Course Overview
This course introduces the principles of physical security and stockpile management, with a focus on practical depot controls, ammunition storage safety, access control, accountability, inspection routines, emergency preparedness and risk reduction. The course is designed to support personnel working in or around ammunition storage facilities. It does not replace national authority licensing, specialist ammunition technical qualifications or formal explosive safety authorisation where these are required.
