This course develops strategic understanding of infrastructure protection planning for organisations responsible for critical sites, essential services, high-value assets or operationally important facilities.

This course is suitable for senior security managers, infrastructure owners and operators, government or institutional stakeholders, facility directors, resilience planners, corporate risk leads, project leaders and organisations responsible for protecting critical or high-value infrastructure.

• Infrastructure protection principles.
• Critical asset and essential service identification.
• Threat, vulnerability and consequence review.
• Site security, access control and perimeter considerations.
• Dependency, supply chain and continuity considerations.
• Stakeholder coordination and governance arrangements.
• Protective security planning and prioritisation.
• Emergency response, contingency and recovery links.
• Exercise, review and validation of protection plans
• Development of improvement plans and strategic recommendations.

Delivery may include classroom instruction, strategic workshops, facilitated planning sessions, table-top exercises, site-layout review, vulnerability discussion, scenario planning and senior-leader briefings.

Participants should hold a role connected to infrastructure protection, senior security management, facility leadership, organisational resilience, risk governance, emergency planning or operational continuity. Prior management, security, infrastructure, emergency response or risk-planning experience is desirable.

On completion, participants should be able to understand infrastructure protection planning requirements, identify key vulnerabilities and dependencies, prioritise protective measures and contribute to a structured infrastructure protection plan.

This course may be adapted for airports, ports, energy facilities, logistics hubs, government facilities, training centres, commercial compounds, critical infrastructure sites or major project locations.
